Neymar is set to miss Brazil’s World Cup group-stage match against Haiti as he continues to struggle with his fitness and is not yet back to full sharpness.
The former Barcelona star has faced ongoing physical issues in recent months, prompting Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti to take a cautious approach after including him in the squad for the tournament. The Santos forward is still not at 100 per cent and only returned to full training on Wednesday.
As a result, Ancelotti has opted to leave him out of Brazil’s second group game on Saturday in order to avoid any unnecessary risk with his recovery.
