Netflix has announced that it has secured exclusive broadcasting rights to the FIFA World Cup 2030™ in Spain and Andorra, bringing all 104 matches of the tournament live to audiences in both territories.
The 2030 edition will mark the 100th anniversary of the FIFA World Cup, with Spain, Morocco and Portugal set to host the tournament. Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay will also stage centenary celebration matches as part of the historic event.
Under the agreement, Netflix plans to deliver comprehensive live coverage, including pre-match, halftime and post-match shows with a distinctly Spanish perspective, alongside daily matchday highlights and programming designed to build anticipation ahead of the tournament.
To ensure wider access, one match per matchday will be available free of charge in Spain. A selection of matches, including every Spain fixture, both semi-finals and the final, will also be broadcast by a national free-to-air television broadcaster. Further details of the partnership are expected to be announced closer to the tournament.
The deal marks another major step in Netflix’s expanding sports portfolio and strengthens its partnership with FIFA. The streaming platform already holds the rights to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 and 2031 in the United States and Canada.

Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, said the agreement would bring fans closer to one of the world’s biggest sporting events, particularly as Spain prepares to host the tournament as the reigning world champion.
Mattias Grafström, FIFA Secretary General, also welcomed the partnership, highlighting the shared ambition to make the 2030 World Cup accessible to as many fans as possible across Spain and Andorra.
The agreement further expands Netflix’s live sports offering, which includes NFL games and events, MLB, WWE, and major boxing and MMA events.
Netflix has also continued to invest in sports documentaries and original programming, featuring prominent football figures and competitions through titles such as LALIGA: All Access, Beckham, Neymar: The Perfect Chaos, Vini Jr., MOURINHO and Captains of the World.
The FIFA World Cup 2030™ will commemorate a century of international football’s biggest tournament, first held in Uruguay in 1930, bringing national teams from around the world together for a landmark edition of the competition.
