Real Madrid and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of defender Marc Cucurella. The Spanish international has signed a six-year contract with the club and will remain at Real Madrid until June 30, 2032.
Cucurella arrives at the Santiago Bernabéu after establishing himself as one of Europe's most reliable left-backs. A product of Barcelona's youth academy, he was part of the club's system between 2012 and 2020, progressing through the ranks before beginning his senior career. He later gained valuable experience in La Liga with Eibar and Getafe, earning a move to the Premier League with Brighton & Hove Albion in 2021.
In 2022, Cucurella joined Chelsea, where he made more than 100 appearances and played a key role in the club's recent successes. His performances at both club and international level have earned him a reputation for his energy, defensive consistency, and attacking contribution from the left flank.
