With Vincent Kompany still absent, Bayern Munich assistant coach Aaron Danks provided a squad update at Friday's press conference ahead of Saturday's Der Klassiker clash with Borussia Dortmund.
Danks confirmed that Manuel Neuer will miss the game due to ongoing foot problems, with Jonas Urbig set to deputise once again after stepping in on several occasions this season.
Meanwhile, a late decision will be made on Joshua Kimmich's availability after the Germany captain returned to Säbener Straße on Thursday following a period of leave after the death of a close family member last week.
"The game comes too early for Manuel Neuer. He's still got some pain in his foot. Jo Kimmich has had two individual sessions and will train with the team for the first time today. We'll then see with him," Danks said.
Sitting alongside Danks at the press conference, Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl also addressed Kimmich's situation
"I've spoken with him. Life is different for him now. We'll give him all the support he needs. If Jo feels ready to get back involved, that could be tomorrow or not. He'll decide that with the coaching team," Eberl said.
In addition to Neuer, Bayern will also certainly be without Luis Díaz, Jamal Musiala and Bara Sapoko Ndiaye.
Saturday's blockbuster clash between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena kicks off at 18:30 CET.
