Nottingham Forest have officially appointed Oliver Glasner as the club's new head coach, bringing in one of Europe's most highly regarded managers to lead the team's next chapter.
Glasner arrives with an impressive track record, having won both the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League during his coaching career. He also guided VfL Wolfsburg to UEFA Champions League qualification and led Eintracht Frankfurt to the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League title, ending the German club's 42-year wait for a major European trophy.
Most recently, the Austrian enjoyed success in England by winning the 2024/25 FA Cup in his first full Premier League season, followed by the FA Community Shield and the UEFA Conference League the following campaign.
Speaking after his appointment, Glasner said he was excited by Nottingham Forest's long-term vision and believes the club has the potential to achieve greater success. He added that his immediate priority is preparing the squad for pre-season and building a team that the supporters can be proud of.
Club owner Evangelos Marinakis welcomed the appointment, describing Glasner as a proven winner whose leadership, ambition and attacking style of football align with Forest's goal of competing for major honours in England and Europe.
