Al Qadsiah have completed the signing of Dutch international Tijjani Reijnders from Manchester City, securing the midfielder on a long-term deal that will keep him at the club until 2031.
Reijnders arrived in Khobar on Wednesday after finalizing his contract, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career following his recent spell in the English Premier League.
The transfer fee is reportedly in the region of $71 million, making Reijnders one of Al Qadsiah’s most significant acquisitions during the current summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old midfielder represented the Netherlands at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and made 47 appearances for Manchester City across all competitions last season. He enjoyed an impressive final campaign with the English champions, scoring 15 goals before leaving the club amid major midfield restructuring.
Before joining Manchester City, Reijnders established himself as one of Serie A’s top midfielders during his time with AC Milan. He was named Serie A’s Best Midfielder for the 2024-25 season after helping Milan win the Italian Super Cup and finish as runners-up in the domestic cup competition.
Al Qadsiah are continuing to strengthen their squad under the leadership of Northern Irish manager Brendan Rodgers, with the team already featuring high-profile names including Nacho Fernandez, Julian Quinones, and Mateo Retegui.
Reijnders’ arrival comes as Al Qadsiah prepare for their first-ever AFC Champions League campaign after finishing fourth in the Saudi Pro League last season.
The club will face Al Ittihad in the second round of the Roshn Saudi League on Friday before beginning their Asian journey against UAE side Al Wasl on September 14.
