Multiple Italian clubs are showing interest in Newcastle striker Nick Woltemade.
There is a chance the £69m club record signing could leave on a loan deal before the window closes.
Napoli are showing the most serious interest, and Newcastle would be looking for a chunky loan fee for any deal to happen. But they are also more than happy to keep the German.
Woltemade was an unused substitute by his compatriot Matthias Jaissle in the season opening draw against Liverpool last weekend.
The 24-year-old scored 11 goals last season, and was often deployed in midfield by Eddie Howe.
