Richarlison has released a bombshell statement on social media with his transfer to Everton on the brink of collapsing.
The 29-year-old had been set to return to the Toffees four years after leaving to join Tottenham.
However, that deal hinged on Iliman Ndiaye moving in the opposite direction.
But that move now appears to be in danger after Manchester City registered their interest in the winger.
Richarlison, who has 32 goals in 134 games for Spurs, released an emotional statement on his Instagram page damning the situation.
He said: “After everything I’ve been through in recent years, I decided that NEVER AGAIN would anyone decide my future for me.
“I went through a lot of bad things during this time, and almost all of them happened because of decisions made by other people.
“Pressure, threats, retaliation—none of that scares me. I’ve been through worse… believe me!
“I have always made it clear, on every occasion, that my departure to another place would also have to be good for the club.
“If it wasn’t, I would never accept it… just like I didn’t accept it when everything here was falling apart and they needed me.
“I stayed and gave my life. So, I hope they treat my situation with the same respect that I have always had for Spurs and for all the people who worked with me during this period. Just don’t try to decide for me.”
He continued: “If Spurs and Everton reach an agreement, I will return to the club of my heart.
“My intention was indeed to go back to the place where I was very happy.
“But negotiations were being done the way other people wanted, and it won’t be that way anymore.
“Despite all this turmoil, I have a contract with Spurs and I will remain at the club’s disposal.”
