PSG have entered the race to sign Manchester City star Rodri, reports suggest – and Barcelona are in the mix as well.
New World Cup winner Rodri, 30, only has 12 months left on his deal at the Etihad and will be available for free next summer if he does not sign a new contract.
City are desperate to keep their midfield keystone but have not yet made a breakthrough in talks.
And Real Madrid have long been pushing to try and pick up the Spain captain.
But PSG, sensing a chance to hijack the deal, have made an enquiry to City.
According to Fabrice Hawkins, the French giants are considering a move for the player.
He was not initially part of their plans but is deemed a unique opportunity.
Hawkins adds that alongside Madrid – who SunSport understands could sell Aurelien Tchouameni to Manchester United despite suggestions that he has extended his contract – face a real battle.
They have agreed personal terms with the former Atletico ace but no final decision has been made.
Los Blancos, now headed by Jose Mourinho, are still described as being the frontrunners.
Madrid have also been heavily linked with Chelsea‘s Enzo Fernandez – who is available for £120million this window and is pushing to join.
But a statement was issued earlier this month saying no talks would be carried out for the Argentine.
And Tchouameni’s situation is also now uncertain.
City themselves have spent big on Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest.
And they have been touted as a potential destination for Fernandez as well.
