Erling Haaland sets new Manchester derby scoring record

Erling Haaland made Manchester derby history as Manchester City beat Manchester United 1–0 in Matchweek 4, taking his tally to a record nine derby goals.

Erling Haaland has etched his name into Manchester derby history once again, becoming the outright all-time leading scorer in the fixture with nine goals.

The Manchester City striker reached the milestone as City secured a 1–0 victory over Manchester United in Premier League Matchweek 4, despite playing with 10 men for more than an hour.

Haaland moved ahead of Wayne Rooney and Sergio Agüero, who have both scored eight goals in the Manchester derby. Eric Cantona and Phil Foden complete the top five with seven goals each.

The Norwegian's latest derby goal takes his tally to nine, making him the most prolific scorer in the history of one of English football's biggest rivalries.

At just 25, Haaland continues to rewrite the record books and has already established himself as one of the defining figures in Manchester derby history.
