Cristiano Ronaldo’s journey on football’s biggest stage may have reached its final chapter.
The Portugal captain saw his 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign come to an end after Portugal were eliminated by Spain in the Round of 16. For one of the greatest players in football history, this could be the last time we see him at the World Cup.
Making his sixth World Cup appearance, Ronaldo leaves the tournament with an incredible legacy: 26 matches, 11 goals, and countless unforgettable moments — including three goals in this edition.
Before the match against Spain, Ronaldo hinted that this would likely be his final World Cup, as he would be 45 years old when the next tournament arrives, hosted partly by Portugal’s generation.
A legend. An icon. A name that changed football forever.
Was this the final World Cup dance of Cristiano Ronaldo?
Only time will tell…
