Neymar to Inter Miami? MSN reunion with Messi and Suárez could happen in 2027

Neymar could join Inter Miami in January 2027, potentially reuniting with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez to bring the iconic MSN trio back together.

Neymar’s contract with Santos runs until December 31, 2026, and that simple date could become the starting point for one of the most intriguing transfer stories in world football: a potential reunion of the legendary MSN trio at Inter Miami.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the Brazilian forward’s contract situation has opened the possibility of him joining the MLS side in January 2027, potentially reuniting him with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez in Miami.

Neymar’s future remains uncertain

However, Marca made one point clear: there is currently no agreement or confirmed negotiations between Neymar and Inter Miami. Rather, the uncertainty surrounding the 35-year-old’s future could make the Florida club a realistic destination if he decides against renewing his contract with Santos and enters free agency.

Neymar himself has kept his options open. In recent public statements, the Brazilian has acknowledged that he is considering several possibilities for 2027, including extending his stay at Santos, pursuing another move abroad, or even retiring from professional football. At this stage, none of those scenarios has been ruled out or confirmed.

The MSN reunion could be a global sensation

A potential move to Inter Miami would also go beyond footballing considerations. The commercial value of reuniting MSN—the iconic attacking trio of Messi, Suárez, and Neymar at Barcelona between 2014 and 2017—is something the MLS club would be unlikely to overlook.

The three forwards spent three seasons together at Camp Nou, winning nine major trophies, including one UEFA Champions League, two La Liga titles, and three Copa del Rey trophies. Their greatest season came in 2014/15, when Barcelona completed a historic treble.

That campaign saw the trio produce extraordinary numbers, scoring 122 goals across all competitions. Messi led the way with 58 goals, followed by Neymar with 39 and Suárez with 25.

Those numbers underline why a reunion between the three would be far more than an ordinary transfer. It would be a global football event with significant commercial implications, potentially boosting television audiences, sponsorship deals, merchandise sales, and worldwide attention around Inter Miami and MLS.

Neymar, Messi and Suárez could be together again

Neymar returned to Santos in January 2023 following his spell with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, where injuries restricted him to just a handful of appearances. Since returning to Brazil, the forward has regained some consistency, although fitness issues have continued to interrupt his progress.

He also featured for Brazil at the 2026 World Cup, although he was unable to prevent the Seleção from being eliminated by Norway.

Meanwhile, Messi and Suárez are already firmly established in Miami. Messi joined Inter Miami in 2023 and has since transformed the club both on and off the pitch, winning three trophies, including the latest MLS title. Suárez followed him to Florida in 2024.

If Neymar were to arrive in January 2027, Inter Miami would bring together all three members of one of the most iconic attacking partnerships of the modern era—this time, not in Barcelona, but on American soil.

The possibility remains far from confirmed, but the prospect alone is enough to put Inter Miami and Neymar at the center of one of football’s most fascinating transfer stories.
