Manchester City complete signing of Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi

Manchester City have secured the signing of highly rated Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille on a five-year contract, with the 18-year-old set to join the club until 2031.

Manchester City have announced the signing of Moroccan international midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille on a five-year deal, subject to international clearance.

The 18-year-old midfielder will remain at the Etihad Stadium until 2031 after completing his move from the French Ligue 1 club, adding one of Europe’s brightest young talents to Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Bouaddi arrives at City with significant first-team experience despite his young age, having already made 96 appearances for Lille and earned eight caps for Morocco at international level.

He made his senior debut for Lille in the UEFA Conference League just three days after turning 16, before quickly becoming an important member of the first-team squad during the following seasons.

Initially representing France at youth and Under-21 level, Bouaddi later chose to play for Morocco, the country of his parents’ heritage. He went on to impress with the Atlas Lions during this summer’s World Cup.

Known for his composure, technical ability and intelligent passing, the talented midfielder now begins a new chapter of his career in Manchester and is eager to take on the challenge of playing for City.
