Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to finally become teammates

Carlos Tevez says Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have agreed to play on the same team at his farewell match, reportedly set for December 2026 at Buenos Aires’ La Bombonera.

Carlos Tevez, one of Boca Juniors' most prominent legends, has delivered joyful news to football fans around the world, confirming that Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentina's Lionel Messi will line up together in the same team.

The historic event, according to Tevez, will take place at the famous La Bombonera.

According to "Foot Mercato", Messi and Cristiano will play in the same team at his farewell match, scheduled for December 2026 in Buenos Aires.

The former Boca Juniors striker announced that he had secured the agreement of both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to play together on the same side.

It promises to be an exceptional match for a man who shared a dressing room with both legends, having played alongside Messi for Argentina and with Ronaldo at Manchester United.

Tevez said in televised statements: "I have always dreamed of seeing Cristiano and Leo playing in one team. They are the greatest players of all time. I got in touch with them, especially Cristiano. I told him: Cristiano, I want you and Messi in the same team in my farewell match. So that the whole world can witness this magic once and for all."

He continued: "He said he would be there. Convincing Leo was not difficult either. They both agreed, I am very excited. This match will be very moving."
