Arsenal have officially announced the signing of England international Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa on a long-term contract.
The 28-year-old defender began his professional career with Charlton Athletic, making his senior debut in 2016 before joining Brentford in 2018. His impressive performances during the 2018/19 season earned him a move to the Premier League, with Aston Villa securing his services in 2019.
Konsa went on to spend seven seasons at Villa Park, making more than 200 Premier League appearances across all competitions. During his time with Villa, he established himself as one of the league’s most reliable defenders, capable of playing both as a centre-back and at right-back.
At international level, Konsa represented England at Under-20 and Under-21 level before making his senior debut in 2023. He has since become a regular member of the England squad, featuring at UEFA Euro 2024 and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
With his Premier League experience, defensive versatility and international pedigree, Konsa now begins a new chapter of his career at Arsenal.
