Al-Hilal have officially announced the signing of Gabriel Martinelli from Arsenal on a four-year contract, adding the Brazilian forward to their first-team squad.
The deal was completed on Thursday evening, with the signing ceremony taking place at Almajdiah Sport Hub. The Saudi club’s board, headed by Prince Nawaf bin Saad, confirmed Martinelli’s arrival as part of Al-Hilal’s continued efforts to strengthen the squad.
Al-Hilal also expressed its appreciation to Prince Alwaleed bin Talal for funding the transfer and praised his continued support of the club and contribution to its sporting ambitions.
Martinelli, 25, began his senior career with Brazilian side Ituano before joining Arsenal in 2019. During his time with the Gunners, he made his mark across domestic and European competitions, scoring 62 goals and providing numerous assists.
The Brazilian forward won several major domestic honours with Arsenal, including the Premier League, FA Cup and Community Shield, while also featuring in the UEFA Champions League.
At international level, Martinelli has represented Brazil at the 2022 and 2026 FIFA World Cups. He also played for Brazil’s U23 side and was part of the squad that won Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020.
Martinelli is expected to join Al-Hilal training on Thursday evening as the club prepares to face Al-Shabab in the Roshn Saudi League on Friday.
