Zinédine Zidane has officially unveiled his first France squad since taking charge of the national team.
The former Real Madrid boss announced his squad this Friday at 6 p.m., naming 23 players for his first international camp as France head coach.
Zidane has already made his mark with several new faces, handing first-time call-ups to Guillaume Restes, Jérémy Jacquet, Andy Diouf, Lucas Da Cunha and Estéban Lepaul.
Goalkeepers: Mike Maignan, Guillaume Restes, Robin Risser
Defenders: Andy Diouf, Jérémy Jacquet, Pierre Kalulu, Ibrahima Konaté, Jules Koundé, Maxence Lacroix, Adrien Truffert, Dayot Upamecano
Midfielders: Eduardo Camavinga, Rayan Cherki, Lucas Da Cunha, Manu Koné, Adrien Rabiot, Warren Zaïre-Emery
Forwards: Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Estéban Lepaul, Kylian Mbappé, Michael Olise
Zidane's first selection also sees several familiar names from the Didier Deschamps era left out. Marcus Thuram, Brice Samba, the Hernández brothers and Lucas Digne are among the notable absentees.
The biggest surprise is arguably the omission of Aurélien Tchouaméni, who has not been included in Zidane's first squad.
Meanwhile, Eduardo Camavinga returns to the France setup after missing the 2026 World Cup.
France are set to face Turkey on September 25, followed by two meetings with Belgium on September 28 and October 5, before taking on Italy on October 2 during the upcoming international break.
