UEFA has confirmed that the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League final between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain will kick off at 5pm BST (6pm CET), marking a significant change from the traditional evening schedule.
The final will begin at 12:00 PM ET (Eastern Time) and 9:00 AM PT (Pacific Time) in the United States, giving North American viewers a more convenient daytime viewing window.
According to UEFA, the earlier start time was introduced to improve the overall fan experience, enhance stadium logistics, and increase the economic benefits for the host city, Budapest. The decision follows concerns raised by supporters in previous finals, particularly regarding late-night travel and transportation challenges.
UEFA stated that the new kick-off time will provide fans with better access to public transport after the match, create a more family-friendly atmosphere, and allow supporters to enjoy post-match celebrations more safely and conveniently.
The governing body believes the change will make Europe's biggest club football match more accessible while delivering a stronger positive impact on the host city and visiting fans.
