Spain continued their impressive run in the UEFA Nations League with a convincing 4-1 victory over Croatia at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium in Seville.
La Roja made a flying start, with teenage sensation Lamine Yamal opening the scoring in just the second minute. The Barcelona winger cut inside before firing a low left-footed shot into the bottom corner to give Spain an early lead, repeating his quick start from their previous match against England.
Spain continued to threaten, and Pau Cubarsí came close to doubling the advantage in the 20th minute, but his powerful effort went narrowly wide. Croatia gradually found their way back into the game, and their pressure paid off in the 29th minute. Ivan Perišić delivered a dangerous cross into the box, which Dion Drena Beljo met with a powerful header to level the score.
Spain, however, responded almost immediately. Just two minutes later, Yamal delivered a precise cross into the area, and Marc Pubill rose highest to head the ball home and restore Spain's lead.
Mikel Oyarzabal thought he had added a third goal in the 36th minute, but his effort was ruled out for offside. Spain came close again just before half-time when Fermín López struck the post, leaving La Roja with a 2-1 advantage at the break.
After a relatively quiet opening to the second half, Yamal struck again in the 63rd minute. The young forward produced a superb finish from a tight angle to score Spain's third goal. The pace of the match slowed after that, but Nico Williams added a fourth in the 89th minute to make La Roja's victory even more emphatic.
Spain comfortably saw out the remaining minutes to secure a convincing 4-1 victory. The result means Luis de la Fuente's side have now scored four goals in consecutive matches and moved onto six points in their group.
