Former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has become a multimillionaire off the football pitch.
The 29-year-old's off-field financial success has run parallel with a hugely successful period at current club Napoli, where he won the Serie A title and was named Serie A player of the year.
McTominay's business began during his Old Trafford career
McTominay established Scott McTominay Limited in 2017, shortly after breaking into Manchester United's first team.
He remains the company's sole director and shareholder, with the firm used to channel his earnings away from the pitch.
Its listed activities include broadcasting, media representation services and the buying and selling of real estate.
The business has expanded considerably since its first accounts were filed in 2018, when it declared shareholder funds of £269,000.
Latest accounts show assets exceeding £6 million
The Times reports that McTominay's company held total assets of almost £6.1 million in the 12 months ending on December 31 last year.
Those assets included a property portfolio valued at £1 million, investments worth £4 million and more than £1 million owed by debtors.
The firm was valued at £5,939,301.
Scott McTominay's success since leaving United
McTominay left Old Trafford for Napoli in a £25.7 million transfer in 2024 and helped the Italian club win Serie A during his debut season.
The Scotland international scored 13 goals in 36 appearances during that title-winning campaign. He was subsequently named Serie A player of the year and placed among the top 20 nominees for the Ballon d'Or.
His popularity in Naples has also led Napoli to apply to register his "McFratm" nickname for merchandise including sporting goods, food and stationery. The name translates as "McBrother".
McTominay also became a Scotland hero after scoring an overhead kick in a 4-2 victory over Denmark which secured World Cup qualification. He then featured in every match of Scotland's campaign in the United States.
More recently, he underwent an ablation procedure in Manchester to correct an irregular heart rhythm. A mild arrhythmia had been discovered after he was substituted in Napoli's 2-1 defeat by Como on August 30.
Napoli said the minimally invasive operation was "a complete success", with the midfielder expected to return to training in the following days.
McTominay's company accounts underline how substantially his financial position has developed since his emergence at United, while his performances in Italy have ensured that his progress on the pitch has been just as striking.
