Italian media report that Fenerbahce President Ali Koc met with Paolo Maldini this week, hoping to convince the Milan legend to join as a director.
The bond between Fenerbahce and Italian football just keeps growing, as Presidential candidate Hakan Safi was spotted at Casa Milan on Monday for transfer talks.
Now Sport Mediaset journalist Maurizio Pistocchi via Calciomercato claims that current President Ali Koc had dinner with Maldini at a Milanese restaurant over the last few days.
The Turkish club hope to convince Maldini to take on a new experience abroad, after his tenure as Milan director came to an abrupt end.
They are not the only ones to have approached the Italian legend, because he was also considered for a role in the new FIGC to get Calcio back on track after the latest World Cup failure.
The former Milan man has always said he would never work for another club within the country, but he might have a different view for Turkish sides.
