Mykhailo Mudryk is now eligible to return to competitive football for Chelsea after the FA confirmed that disciplinary proceedings against the winger have been concluded.
The 25-year-old has not featured in an official match since Chelsea’s away victory over Heidenheim in November 2024. Mudryk had initially received a four-year ban from the FA following an anti-doping violation after testing positive for meldonium. However, the Ukrainian winger challenged the decision by appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The suspension has now been overturned, with the FA confirming the resolution of the case in a statement released on Friday:
“The FA can confirm that the anti-doping disciplinary proceedings involving Mykhailo Mudryk were resolved through an agreement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on 30 July 2026. As part of this agreement, Mr Mudryk has accepted responsibility for Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs) and has agreed to serve a period of ineligibility.”
Following the conclusion of the case, Mudryk is free to resume his professional career and could return to action for Chelsea immediately.
