Robert Lewandowski has received a contract proposal worth approximately €20 million per season plus bonuses, according to Polish journalist Tomasz Wlodarczyk, who is closely connected to the player.
The striker has scored 120 goals in four seasons for Barcelona. However, the offer has not officially come from Fenerbahçe, but from Hakan Safi, one of the two candidates competing for the presidency of the Turkish club in elections scheduled for June 6 and 7.
According to the report, Safi submitted a formal offer to the FC Barcelona forward’s representatives on Monday as part of his election campaign project. The businessman is aiming to defeat Aziz Yildirim, the club’s long-serving president from 1998 to 2018, who is also running in the upcoming vote.
Fenerbahçe’s election campaign has been defined by ambitious promises aimed at restoring the club to the top of Turkish football. In that context, the potential signing of Lewandowski has become one of Safi’s key arguments in his bid to win over club members.
Nevertheless, the deal remains far from being finalized. The same source reports that there have been no firm statements or definitive position from the Polish striker regarding the proposal. It is also emphasized that any potential move should be viewed with caution until the election process is concluded. Once the results are known, the offer will be assessed alongside other proposals that Robert Lewandowski is reportedly considering.
