The sons of Iker Casillas and Sara Carbonero, Martín and Lucas Casillas, aged 12 and 10 respectively, and both goalkeepers, are leaving Real Madrid to join Leganés. The move to the Madrid-based club comes in search of a more suitable player development project.
After spending two years at La Fábrica, having initially started out at Pozuelo, both youngsters are swapping the white shirt of Real Madrid for Leganés following a decision made by the boys themselves and their families.
Both have also stood out in various tournaments. Martín, for example, impressed at the Brunete U-12 World Cup, while Lucas made headlines with his performance in a penalty shootout against Barcelona, saving several spot-kicks.
