Following a turbulent campaign, a report from El Chiringuito TV confirms that club president Florentino Perez is set to sit down with current manager Alvaro Arbeloa to assess the season and determine the next steps.
This meeting comes at a critical time, as Real Madrid are on course to finish the season without silverware unless there is an unlikely turnaround in La Liga.
Despite the disappointing results, the club has not yet made a final decision regarding Arbeloa’s future.
The meeting will serve as a full review of the season, where both Perez and Arbeloa will analyse what went wrong and decide whether to continue together.
Journalist Josep Pedrerol stated: “Arbeloa hasn’t been fired. Florentino will speak with him, and both will draw their own conclusions. The team supports the coach staying.”
He also dismissed rumours about Jurgen Klopp, saying: “It is not a possibility at this time, and there are no plans for him to join Madrid.”
