Fiorentina have officially announced the signing of Franco Mastantuono from Real Madrid on a temporary basis, with the Viola securing the sporting rights of the talented young midfielder.
The club stated: “ACF Fiorentina announce that they have acquired, on a temporary basis, the rights to the sporting performances of the player Franco Mastantuono from Real Madrid C.F.”
Born on 14 August 2007 in Azul, Argentina, Mastantuono came through the youth ranks at River Plate and made his first-team debut at just 16 years old. During his time with the Argentine giants, he made 64 appearances and scored 10 goals for the “Millonarios”.
Last season, after joining Real Madrid, the young Argentine featured 35 times across La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup, scoring three goals.
Mastantuono also holds the record as the youngest player ever to make his senior debut for the Argentina national team. The talented forward has represented the Albiceleste on four occasions so far.
