Fenerbahce land Romelu Lukaku in permanent Napoli deal

Fenerbahce have completed the permanent signing of Romelu Lukaku from Napoli, adding another high-profile forward to an ambitious summer rebuild.

Fenerbahce have announced the permanent signing of Romelu Lukaku from Napoli.

The Belgium international’s departure became possible after Napoli completed the permanent signing of Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United earlier this summer. Hojlund joined the Italian champions for a reported €44 million (£38m; $51.4m) following a season-long loan.

Lukaku now begins a new chapter in Turkey, joining an ambitious Fenerbahce side that has been active in the summer transfer window.

The Istanbul club have also signed striker Vedat Muriqi, who scored 23 goals in La Liga for Mallorca last season, as well as Mason Greenwood from Marseille and defender Nathan Ake from Manchester City.
