Another positive update on the condition of Christian Eriksen has been released after his terrifying collapse on Sunday.
The Denmark playmaker was taking part in a pre-World Cup friendly against Ukraine when he clutched his chest before dropping to the ground.
Denmark team doctor Morten Boesen has issued a new update on the star’s condition, as he remains in hospital with his family.
He said: “I spoke with Christian this morning, and he is doing well. He is with his family and in good spirits.
“The expectation is that he will be discharged soon and can return home.
“We are taking good care of the players and staff and remain in regular contact with them.”

Eriksen collapsed suddenly on the pitch against Ukraine, with the score at 2-1 in his side’s favour.
Medical staff rushed to his aid, and he was able to walk off the pitch on his own.
It is not the first time the creative midfielder has suffered such an issue, after he fell under similar circumstances during the 2021 Euros.
It is speculated that the internal defibrillator, which was fitted in response to that previous incident, may have saved his life.
Boesen, who had treated Eriksen during his incident five years ago, said of Sunday’s scare: “He wanted to go [off the pitch] himself and also say hello to his family. And the ambulance was on the corner. So he was allowed to do that. He was completely monitored.
“As I see it, the pacemaker responded as it should.
“He was briefly unconscious, but regained consciousness very quickly and we were quickly in contact with him.
“He will undergo further examinations at the hospital to determine what caused the incident.
“We are in ongoing contact with him and the doctors at the hospital. But Christian is doing well, and asked me to send his regards to all the players and tell them he was OK.”
He also admitted he was not sure about what the long-term implications of this second collapse could be for Eriksen’s career.
He added on the topic: “I don’t know enough about that. I’ll leave that up to the specialists in the field and Christian himself.”
Similar questions were levelled at the former Spurs man after his 2021 collapse.
Then at Inter Milan, he would try to rebuild his career after making the switch to Premier League side Brentford.
He was convincing enough with the West London outfit to earn a move to Manchester United, where he spent three years and made over 100 appearances.
He was released at the end of the 2024-25 season, but managed to find a new home in the Bundesliga.
He made 34 appearances for Wolfsburg this season, though they fell to a defeat in the relegation play-off.
