Cristiano Ronaldo’s ex-chef reveals secrets to his ripped body at 41 and common drink he avoids – ‘it is against nature’

Cristiano Ronaldo's former chef has revealed the secrets to the superstar’s ripped physique and claimed he avoids milk because it is “against nature”.

The Manchester United legend has always stayed in incredible shape during his career and continues to do so aged 41.

Ronaldo is known for being a fitness and health fanatic and has taken extra steps to ensure his longevity in the game.

He has previously been seen using a cryotherapy chamber as well as hyperbaric oxygen therapy to maintain his high performance level.

Ronaldo has also made clear his dislike of Coca Cola and famously removed two bottles of the drink from a press conference table at Euro 2020.

The Al-Nassr star has previously spoken about his strict diet while at Old Trafford and his ex-chef Giorgio Barone has now detailed what foods the forward sticks to.

Speaking to covers.com Barone said: “Cristiano Ronaldo’s diet is balanced. He eats a little bit of everything but it’s always healthy.

“Starting with breakfast he would have an avocado with coffee, eggs and no sugar. Absolutely no sugar.

“Lunch could be chicken, fish and always vegetables. If he needs carbohydrates, he gets them through vegetables, so doesn’t need anything made with flour. Nothing like pasta, bread and other types of food.

“In the evening, he eats light foods, usually fish or meat in the form of fillet. It’s always accompanied by vegetables.”

Barone said Ronaldo avoided milk because it was “not normal for human beings” and said dairy alternatives were much better.

He added: “No milk. Humans are the only animals that drink the milk of other animals. No other animal drinks milk after three months.

“Calves don’t drink milk after the age of three months. Animals don’t drink the milk of other animals. It does not exist in nature.

“Only human beings continue to drink milk up to 30, 40, 50, 60 years and in my view it is wrong.

“We breastfeed from our mothers, like dogs, wolves, cows and donkeys. It is normal. After infancy it is not normal. It is against nature.”

Manchester City star Erling Haaland might disagree with Barone after talking up the benefits of chugging raw milk as part of his diet.

He also prefers to eat steak and organ meats like liver and heart.

Barone said: “I agree with [Erling Haaland’s diet of] eating the organs. The liver, heart and brain are all healthy foods. They are superfoods.

“Cristiano liked liver too. I love it. It’s very rich in iron and it’s important in the diet so for the organs, I approve, but not for the milk.”

Ronaldo is set to feature for Portugal at the upcoming 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

He previously claimed the tournament would be his last World Cup as he continues to captain his national team.
