Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his silence after leaving Portugal’s training camp, where the national team was preparing for a training session.
In a statement posted on social media, Ronaldo confirmed that he had left the camp but did not disclose the reasons behind his decision. The Portugal captain said the move came after a press conference held by head coach Jorge Jesus and a subsequent conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation.

“After the National Team Coach's press conference, and following a conversation with the President of the Portuguese Football Federation, I made the decision to leave the National Team camp.
“In due course, I will tell all Portuguese people the truth about the reasons that led to my departure from the national team, to which I have always been dedicated.
“Now is the time to wish Portugal and all my teammates, without exception, the best of luck.”
What happened?
Ronaldo left Portugal’s training session shortly after Jorge Jesus addressed the media, with the manager having confirmed that the forward was expected to take part in the session.
However, Ronaldo did not join his teammates for training and instead left the stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark, where Portugal are currently preparing.
The reasons behind his departure have not yet been disclosed. Ronaldo said he would reveal the full details “in due course.”
