Chicago Fire FC have acquired Poland’s all-time leading goal scorer Robert Lewandowski as a Designated Player.
The veteran striker arrives in Major League Soccer with a career spanning some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Lech Poznań, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and most recently FC Barcelona, where he helped secure the La Liga title. Widely regarded as one of the most prolific forwards of his generation, Lewandowski has scored over 700 goals at club and international level.
He will occupy a Designated Player and international roster spot, pending his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate, with a contract running through the 2027–28 MLS season.
