Following an Executive Committee meeting held on Tuesday morning, the French Football Federation (FFF) and its President, Philippe Diallo, are delighted to announce the appointment of Zinédine Zidane as the head coach of the France men’s national team for the next four years, until the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
Zinédine Zidane becomes the 18th head coach in the history of Les Bleus since Henri Guérin’s appointment in 1964, succeeding Didier Deschamps.
The new France manager will officially take charge on August 1 and will lead the national team from the 2026–27 UEFA Nations League campaign. He will then oversee the Euro 2028 qualifiers, the 2028–29 UEFA Nations League, and the 2030 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
Zidane will announce the members of his coaching staff at the beginning of September.
