Real Madrid have officially announced the appointment of José Mourinho as the club’s new first-team head coach on a three-year contract running until June 30, 2029.
The decision was approved by the club’s Board of Directors during a meeting held on Thursday, June 11, under the presidency of Florentino Pérez.
Mourinho is set to begin his new role on July 13, when Real Madrid’s pre-season preparations for the upcoming campaign get underway.
The Portuguese manager returns to the Santiago Bernabéu with the aim of leading the club through a new era, having previously managed Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013.
