Barcelona planning two sales this summer

FC Barcelona are preparing for a pivotal summer transfer window, with sporting director Deco reportedly deciding to offload two first-team players in order to ease financial pressure and boost their transfer budget.

Barcelona are close to complying with their salary limit, needing only around €11–12 million to fully unlock their spending capacity. For years, the club has been restricted to using only about 60% of their savings or sales revenue on new signings, but reaching the threshold would allow them to reinvest 100%.

To achieve this, the club is planning player sales, with Marc Casadó and Ferran Torres identified as potential departures.

Casadó, once a key figure under Hansi Flick and even a Spain international after standout performances, has seen his role diminish this season. The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and could also be used in a deal involving João Cancelo.

Meanwhile, Ferran Torres—despite a strong 2025—has struggled in recent months and has not scored since January. With just one year remaining on his contract, Barcelona are considering using him in potential swap deals involving Atlético Madrid or Inter Milan, targeting players like Julián Álvarez or Alessandro Bastoni.

Although both players are reportedly keen to stay, Barcelona appear determined to proceed with at least two sales as part of their financial strategy.
