The most intense and high-stakes fixture of the second half of Spain’s La Liga season saw long-time rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid face off in El Clásico during matchweek 35. The match, played at Camp Nou, ended with a 2–0 victory for the Catalan side.
Barcelona needed just nine minutes to open the scoring, as Marcus Rashford produced a stunning free-kick that curled into the top corner past Thibaut Courtois. In the 18th minute, Dani Olmo delivered a precise assist for Ferran Torres, who doubled Barcelona’s lead with a clinical finish.
Despite a relatively calm tempo after the second goal, Rashford missed a clear one-on-one opportunity in the 38th minute that could have extended the lead further. The first half eventually concluded with Barcelona leading 2–0.

In the second half, Real Madrid pushed forward in search of a comeback, and Jude Bellingham even found the net, but his goal was ruled out for offside. Barcelona also squandered several chances to extend their advantage, but managed the game effectively to maintain their lead until the final whistle.
With this victory, Barcelona reached 91 points, achieving a historic milestone as they officially celebrated their 29th La Liga title immediately after the El Clásico match.
