Arsenal FC are reportedly interested in signing Dani Olmo, the attacking midfielder from Barcelona.
However, Manchester City have already begun efforts to secure the Spain international, making an initial offer worth around £87 million.
Olmo has been an important player for Barcelona this season, contributing eight goals and six assists in all competitions, so it remains uncertain whether the club would be willing to sell him.
According to reports, Mikel Arteta considers Olmo an ideal fit for Arsenal, although convincing Barcelona to let him go could be difficult.
Manchester City are reportedly targeting Olmo as a potential replacement for Bernardo Silva, who is expected to leave when his contract expires.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are also looking to strengthen their attack, particularly with Martin Odegaard struggling for form and fitness this season.
Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested, though Barcelona will hope to keep the player.
Additionally, Arsenal have been linked with Morgan Rogers as another attacking option.
