Ange Postecoglou has made a surprise return to football after being appointed as the new head coach of Saudi Arabian club Al-Nasr.
The former Celtic and Tottenham Hotspur manager has signed a lucrative two-year contract with the Saudi giants, where he will coach Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Postecoglou is also set to face former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, who is currently in charge of Al-Qadsiah.
Al-Nasr confirmed the appointment in an official statement: "Mr. Ange Postecoglou has been appointed as the head coach of Al-Nasr's first football team on a two-year contract. We wish him and his coaching staff every success in their journey with the Global Club."
Earlier this summer, the Australian coach had been linked with the Scotland national team job as a potential successor to Steve Clarke. During the offseason, he worked as a football pundit for ITV's World Cup coverage.
