Mo Salah to Al-Nassr? Five stars who could join Cristiano Ronaldo next season

Al Nassr could boast a line up featuring several of the world's top talent next season - if Cristiano Ronaldo's team gets their way this summer.

Liverpool icon Mohamed Salah, and a host of other star names, could join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr next season. The Saudi Pro League outfit have not won the top-flight title since 2019 and have had to contend with the recent dominance of Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad.

It now appears they're going all out to secure the crown next season. Al Nassr already boast a squad laden with talent featuring the likes of Croatian World Cup finalist and Serie A champion Marcelo Brozovic and serial Bundesliga-winning, French star Kingsley Coman.

Ex-Liverpool winger Sadio Mane, a Premier League and Champions League winner, also lines up alongside Ronaldo. While the one-time most expensive player in the world, and ex-Chelsea star, Joao Felix, as well as Inigo Martinez, who won La Liga with Barcelona in 2025, are just some other names who make up their team.

However, they could be about to take their super team to new heights. Mirror Football takes a look at the five stars who could join Al Nassr this summer.

Mo Salah

Salah stunned the footballing world when he announced his intentions to leave Liverpool in March after nine years. The Egyptian is third on the club's all-time top scorers list and has won two Premier League titles and the Champions League at Anfield.

Several offers have reportedly emerged to secure his services, including one from Al Nassr. It's believed the club, who are owned by The Public Investment Fund (PIF), expressed a desire to pair him with Ronaldo to create a fearsome strike force, making him the league's new marquee signing.

However, other Saudi clubs are also closely monitoring the striker's situation, including Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli, and Al-Qadsiah. There have also been questions raised about just how Salah would fit into the side at Al Nassr.

Bernardo Silva

According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Yaum, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal are competing to sign the Man City icon on a free transfer. The Portuguese playmaker joined City in 2017 and has made 451 appearances, winning six Premier League titles and the Champions League under Pep Guardiola.

With City having confirmed his exit at the end of the season, the 31-year-old is thought to be wanted by Ronaldo at Al Nassr. Silva has been playing alongside Ronaldo for the Portuguese national team since March 2015.

The attacking midfielder has also been linked with moves to Barcelona or Juventus, as well as to clubs in the MLS. Yet his links with the Saudi Pro League run deep, as in 2023, Al Hilal were thought to be preparing a package worth £75million per season to take the player from City.

Casemiro

Manchester United confirmed last month that Casemiro will be leaving United upon the expiry of his contract in June. The midfielder became heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in 2023 as he fell out of favour with former United boss Erik ten Hag.

Ronaldo, who played with Casemiro at Real Madrid, has reportedly pushed for the transfer. Inter Miami, co-owned by United legend David Beckham, are keen to sign Casemiro too.

Brazilian giants Sao Paulo are also reportedly willing to offer the player a two-year deal with an option to work for the club once he retires. However, according to Marca, Ronaldo views Casemiro as the defensive anchor necessary to secure Al-Nassr's dominance in the Saudi Pro League.

The financial package being prepared in Riyadh is expected to compete with almost any other offer Casemiro receives.

Antonio Rudiger

The German centre-back is approaching the final months of his deal at the Santiago Bernabeu and is set to become a free agent in the summer of 2026.

Rudiger joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in 2022. The La Liga and Champions League winner is thought to be in demand by Al-Nassr.

However, some reports state that staying with Los Blancos is a “priority” for the centre-back. The Spanish giants have reportedly offered the defender a one-year extension, which could complicate any transfer.

Diogo Costa

Al Nassr are said to be in the market for a new goalkeeper after being unimpressed by current keepers, Brazilian star Bento and Raghed Al-Najjar, who is currently out through injury.

The 26-year-old Costa, who has won two Primeira Liga titles with Porto, would be seen as a major coup for Al Nassr with clubs such as United and City both linked with him in recent times.

Speaking to O Jogo, Costa also claimed he would like to finish his career in Portugal. He said: "I would truly be the most fulfilled man in the world, because, as everyone knows, my dream has always been to play here. And now the story continues and I hope there will be more games."
