Liverpool FC announced that it has reached an agreement to sign Victor Muñoz from Osasuna, subject to a successful work permit application and international clearance.
The Spanish forward, who is currently on World Cup duty with Spain, has already completed his medical at the national team’s base in Tennessee, USA, and has signed a long-term contract with the club.
Muñoz becomes the first new arrival since the appointment of head coach Andoni Iraola, and he is expected to join up with his new teammates later this summer after completing his international commitments.
The 22-year-old has earned two caps for Spain, scoring on his debut against Serbia in March. His rise to the senior national team followed an impressive season with Osasuna, where he made 34 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing five assists across all competitions.
He joined Osasuna last summer from Real Madrid, having previously come through their youth system. Earlier in his development, he was also part of the academy at FC Barcelona.
Muñoz is expected to feature in Spain’s second World Cup group-stage match on Sunday against Saudi Arabia in Atlanta.
He becomes the second addition to Liverpool’s squad ahead of the 2026–27 season, following the previously agreed signing of Jeremy Jacquet earlier this year.
