The winger, 30, was nicked at Luton Airport after flying in from Bulgaria, where he now plays for Lokomotiv Sofia.
Ibe, who represented England at under-18 and under-21 level, was taken into custody and quizzed over an alleged assault in mid-December.
Police said Ibe was now on bail and due before Croydon magistrates’ court on March 6.
A Met spokesman told The Sun on Sunday: “Jordon Ibe has been charged with actual bodily harm.
“The charge relates to an assault alleged to have taken place on Sunday December 14, 2025.

“He was arrested at Luton Airport on Friday January 30 and taken into custody.”
Ibe had returned to the UK to face court in a separate case.
He admitted using dodgy prescriptions to get insomnia drug Zolpidem and was fined £230 at Highbury Corner magistrates court, North London.
Ibe, from South-East London, signed for Liverpool as a teenager in 2012 and joined Bournemouth in 2016 for a club record £15million.
In November he left eighth-tier Sittingbourne to join Lokomotiv Sofia on a two-year deal.
They are the 13th team in his turbulent career.
