Enzo Maresca has reportedly signed a three-year deal with Manchester City.
The 46-year-old will succeed Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium following his departure on Sunday.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims he penned a deal that will keep him at City until 2029.
Maresca is also expected to be fully involved when it comes to recruitment.
The move comes almost six months after the Italian was dismissed by Chelsea following a disappointing run of results.
Maresca allegedly clashed with the Chelsea board in the weeks leading up to his exit.
It was also reported at the time that he was being lined up to replace Guardiola at Man City.
The former Blues head coach worked alongside the six-time Premier League winner at City for a year before his appointment as Leicester City manager.

He then became Chelsea boss the following year, ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Maresca took charge of 92 games with the London-based side, with 55 wins, 16 draws and 21 defeats.
He faces a huge job succeeding Guardiola, who won six Prem titles, the Champions League, three FA Cups and five League Cups during his time at the Etihad Stadium.
During his farewell party on Monday, Guardiola said: “Everything will be fine. Everything. I’m pretty sure, knowing the people here.
“They are stubborn and know exactly what they are going to do.
“All the managers here have been lucky with Txiki and now Hugo Viana. With Ferran and especially Khaldoon Al Mubarak.
“They know perfectly that the opponents are so tough here and in Europe.
“When the club tells me who it is going to be, I will call him.
“But the club will support him unconditionally, which is the biggest compliment.”
