Real Madrid’s first contested presidential election since 2006 is entering its final stages at Valdebebas, with all indications pointing toward another term for Florentino Perez.
According to MARCA’s latest exit poll, updated at 7:00 PM, Perez is heading for a comfortable victory, securing 65.84% of the vote compared to 34.16% for his challenger, Enrique Riquelme.
If the projections hold, Florentino Perez will continue as Real Madrid president. The outgoing president has maintained a strong lead throughout the day, consistently polling around 30 percentage points ahead of Riquelme.
From the moment voting began at 9:00 AM, Perez established control of the race with 66.49% support and has remained firmly ahead despite minor fluctuations. Riquelme’s strongest moment came in the 11:00 AM update, when he briefly narrowed the deficit to 25 points, but Perez quickly restored his advantage and has since held a stable lead of roughly 31 points.

Voter turnout has been notable for a club election. By 5:00 PM, a total of 23,593 members had cast their ballots, representing 31.37% of eligible voters. With polling stations remaining open until 8:00 PM, participation is expected to increase further before voting closes.
While postal ballots could still have some impact on the final margin, the consistency of the exit polls throughout the day suggests that the overall result is unlikely to be affected.
